ChkIP (formerly IP Mailer) is a very nice software solution for automatically checking and tracking your public and private IP address. It comes with some additional features and tools that you can check out.

The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can use all of its features. The graphical interface is quite intuitive, it comes with a number of available tools and features that you can check out.

Before you can actually use the application, you will need to create an account on the developer's website in order to receive a registration key. The key will be emailed to the address you provide.

In order to create an account, you will need to provide an email address, your first and last name, gender and telephone number, but the latter is optional. You will need to set a password to keep your account safe from intrusions.

Notes can also be attached to your profile. It displays you current IP addresses, together with the number of times the IP was checked since you started the application.

You also need to provide a device name and the application can be used for monitoring a number of devices.

You can set it to send a daily email with your IP address and to include Ping results in it. There's the option to add contacts to your account, simply arrange them in a very nice list view. You can also check the date when the contact was added and edit it at any time.
