Christmas Photo Frames

Most of us can’t wait to decorate our houses and Christmas tree when December comes around, and there are plenty of interesting applications that can help you get into the holiday spirit even when you are working on your computer.

Christmas Photo Frames is a good example, as it enables you to place an image on your desktop within a holiday-themed frame that can be customized in various ways. Numerous frame styles are available, but the program needs to be improved in a few respects.

On the face of it, the program is very easy to use. You can import a JPG, PNG or GIF image file within seconds, and then change the dimensions of the frame so that it fits well on your desktop.

However, while there are numerous frame styles to choose from, they do not seem to be listed in any particular order, and it is not possible to select a specific one without cycling through a multitude of variants.

Christmas Photo Frames allows you to alter the position of the loaded image within the frame, as well as rotate it and change its default scale.

Unfortunately, though, the application only saved our settings on a couple of occasions when it was shut down, which means you may need to perform these configurations more than once.

It is also worth noting that you do not have the option of keeping the photo frame on top of all other windows, a feature many users would likely have appreciated.

On the whole, Christmas Photo Frames is a fairly straightforward program that allows you to decorate your desktop by placing photos within a variety of Christmas-themed frames. It could use a few additional features, however, as well as a reliable way to save your settings.
