If you are currently using Windows 8 or Windows 7, then you probably noticed that you keep getting warnings in Chrome that you need to update your operating system. The main reason is that Google plans to drop support for the aforementioned operating system for Chrome in February next year.
Granted, you will still be able to use Chrome on these operating systems, but you do so at your own risk, as you will no longer receive the regular security updates. If you decide that you want to use Windows 7 or 8 and you have your own security plan for browsing the web, then you are probably looking for a way to hide the nagging notifications.
ChromeWarningHider is a registry tweak especially designed to hide the reminder on older Windows versions. Simply put, the role of the tweak is to help you hide the ‘To get future Google Chrome updates, you'll need Windows 10 or later’ notification you get when opening Chrome. Take note that the fix doesn’t work on the portable edition or Chrome, but solely on the full install version of the browser. The developer mentions that it should work on Microsoft Edge as well as other Chromium based browsers.
