Cross Checker

Cross Checker is an application made to help you analyze files with genetic fingerprints, such as RFLP, RAPD and AFLP. It can open .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .wmf and .emf images, lane indications (.ccl), marker indications (.ccm), as well as interpretation files.

Projects can be exported to .bmp format. Alternatively, you can extract and save only the lanes, markers or interpretation. Meanwhile, ALF files can be converted by specifying settings, such as start and stop time, sampling, lane width, spacing, and margins.

When it comes to view options, you can show lane and marker indications, knots, numbers and names, along with the interpretation, crossings and size marker. Cross Checker can be instructed to display either lanes or markers and only positive or negative, to interpolate lane and extrapolate markers, and to seek bands.

Calculators are available for crossings, standardized signals, band intensities, and fragment sizes. It's also possible to slice the image, read and edit the binary interpretation, as well as to examine and export tables with values, binary data and genotype.

As far as program preferences are concerned, you can manually set the balance, lane width and market height for the interpretation, customize the layout colors, or redefine the maximum deviation and balance for the band seek.

Please note that the program has been discontinued, so it will not receive any further updates. However, it runs smoothly on Windows 10.
