Cryptography AES

Cryptography AES is an easy-to-use and powerful application that gives you the possibility to encrypt and decrypt messages using a key and the AES security algorithm. It's handy for sending sensitive information over insecure Internet connections, such as public hotspots.

The program's not packed into a setup file. Instead, you can copy the downloaded items anywhere on the hard drive and double-click the .exe to run Cryptography AES with little effort.

However, it depends on .NET Framework so you should download and install this application framework unless you already have it or it won't run. It doesn't integrate new records into the system registry or generate additional files on the disk without permission, though.

The adopted interface has a straightforward and elegant appearance, where all options are visible in one window, giving you an overview of the whole task.

Text can be typed or pasted in the first box, which is responsible for the input message. An encryption key can be specified to be able to decrypt the secret text, as long as you're certain you can remember it.

To strengthen security, you can allow the tool to produce its own password made from a long string of lower and upper case letters, symbols and numbers.

On the other hand, this means that you should write the key on paper to not forget it, which increases the risk of exposure. The output text is read-only, so it's not possible to edit or save it to file, but you can select and store it in the Clipboard.

In conclusion, Cryptography AES may not have a resourceful set of features, but it delivers a practical solution for encrypting and decrypting text messages using AES security and a secret key or phrase.
