Security is an important aspect to take into consideration when working with a lot of confidential documents, since danger lurks all over the Internet. Several encryption algorithms have been developed throughout the years, with applications such as CTI Text Encryption using them in order to keep custom text secured, only letting you access and view it.

The application shows you it means business right from the start. In other words, you can start using it right after download since you don't have to go through a setup process. This comes in handy because it takes little disk space, and you can keep it along with your documents on a removable storage device to use on the go.

In terms of design, all aspects are clean, with the main window split into two panes, one for input while the other to display output. On the side you get to play with a few accessibility options so you can easily copy and paste large paragraphs from the clipboard. Font also benefits from basic editing options, but this only has an impact on visuals.

To make sure only you have access to text you want to encrypt, the application puts four password fields at your disposal. This adds a significant layer of security, with the possibility to insert any character in the field, as long as you remember them because it's the only way to trigger the reverse process.

There aren't any other configurations to manage, so you won't get to choose a preferred encryption algorithm. The one used is a 256 bit AES encryption, while the hashing algorithm for passwords is SHA512. Generated text is impossible to read and even for experts or other apps have zero chances to decipher it, since it also integrates up to four passwords of custom length and characters.

Everything runs smooth and the result is generated faster than you can blink, but it would have been useful to see a few more accessibility features. You need to paste text in the dedicated field, with no options to target at least TXT files. Copy and paste functions are at your fingertips, but you can't trigger them in any other way that with the mouse or using the good old fashion method with keyboard hotkeys.

CTI Text Encryption lives up to expectations and provides a simple but incredibly powerful method to make any type of text virtually unreadable. Although only one algorithm is used and you cannot insert or export files directly, the job is properly done, with the four password fields making sure only you have access to content.
