DAGDROM FOR MAC

DAGDROM is a simple yet challenging platformer game that is featuring a colorful design and an entertaining premise: you are a headless chicken that needs to think and use all that is at hand to get past problematic situations.

Throughout the game you receive indications on how you can control your character, but also encouragement or laudatory messages. To get past each level, you need both puzzle solving skills and dexterity.

DAGDROM has been developed on the Unity platform, so each time you launch the game you will see a Settings window where you can adjust the screen resolution and the graphics quality.

By default, the game will start in full screen but you can choose to use the windowed mode. However, this is not advisable because you might move your pointer outside the game area, which might prove disastrous for your character’s situation.

Right off the bat you learn that your character can be controlled with the arrow keys and that DAGDROM does not follow the classic rules when it comes to moving around. Later on you will discover that if you are loaded with paint you can also use the mouse to move around (try both the right and left mouse buttons and see what it happens).

Since you must synchronize the mouse movement with the keyboard controls, getting passed various obstacles might not be as easy as it looks. Within the level, before difficult sceneries, DAGDROM integrates checkpoints, so you do not have to start all over again if you fail the first time around.

To conclude, DAGDROM proposes an interesting scenery and a rather challenging gameplay. The game makes you rediscover the pleasure of playing seemingly “simple” platformers that end up as addictions.
