Dazzo's Wallpaper Changer

Dazzo's Wallpaper Changer is an application you can configure to automatically modify your desktop wallpaper using photographs from a specified directory. It contains several options that can be easily tinkered with.

The setup procedure is quick and shouldn't give you any trouble, since there are no special options bundled. However, you must have .NET Framework installed, since it was developed with the aid of this platform.

At startup, it gets integrated into the system tray for fast access and asks you to specify a directory to monitor and automatically take into account any new photos for the wallpaper rotation. Unfortunately, it's not explicit toward the supported file types but we've noticed that it works with JPEG images.

The main window has a simple design and structure, showing a preview of the currently selected photo. You can set the rotation frequency (minutes, hours, days), on-screen position (center, tile, fit to screen), show a filename on the bottom left corner of the picture, as well as match the desktop colors to the image.

Dazzo's Wallpaper Changer can be asked to automatically launch at every Windows startup until further notice, as well as to run hidden in the background to become non-intrusive and let you carry on with your normal PC activity without any interruptions. The monitored folder can be modified anytime. Plus, you can manually set a picture as the current wallpaper.

It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, since it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error messages were displayed and it didn't hang or crash.
