DeepSound is a cool security app that helps you keep your files safe by hiding them in WAV or FLAC audio tracks. No matter what kind of file it is, you can protect it with password support. How awesome is that?
The installation process for DeepSound is super quick and won't take up much of your time. Once installed, the interface looks pretty standard, using an Explorer-style folder setup to help you find your carrier files easily.
After picking a WAV or FLAC track to use as a carrier, you can drag and drop the files you want to hide right into the app. Plus, there's a handy feature that lets you check the output size so you know it fits within limits.
You can tweak various output settings like where to save your new file and add password protection using AES 256-bit encryption. You also get to choose the audio quality—whether low, normal, or high. The new carrier file can stay in the same format as before or switch between FLAC and WAV.
This tool does take a little while to read those carrier files, but once it gets going, embedding files happens pretty quickly without hogging system resources. We didn't run into any annoying crashes or error messages during our tests!
However, we did experience some hiccups when trying to create new files on a couple of occasions. Unfortunately, DeepSound didn't show any errors when this happened—like when we tried converting audio formats or encrypting files. Also, if you're using it for the first time, it might not seem super intuitive right away since there's no option to change the output file name.
If you're looking for a secure way to protect your files in audio tracks, give DeepSound a try!
