Deskmate Memo

Deskmate Memo is a small software application developed specifically for helping you create desktop notes using a set of straightforward actions.

You can keep the program stored on pen drives or other portable devices and carry it with you all the time. It does not leave entries in your Windows registry and write other configuration files so you can get rid of it using a quick deletion task.

Double-clicking on the executable is sufficient for gaining access to the program’s GUI. You may run it without administrative privileges and open it straight from the storage device.

Deskmate Memo reveals a clean and simplistic layout that includes only a few configuration settings. A help manual is not included in the package, only a ‘Readme’ file that includes short descriptions about the tool’s capabilities.

The application offers you the possibility to create a new note by typing in a text message directly in the main window or pasting the information from the clipboard. Plus, you can perform basic clipboard tasks (cut, copy, paste) and delete data.

By default, Deskmate Memo remains on top of other utilities so it’s really easy for your to add a new note.On the downside, the tool is not able to automatically save the text upon exit so you need to manually copy the information to the clipboard before closing the primary panel.

Tests have pointed out that the program carries out a task quickly and without errors. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.

To sum things up, Deskmate Memo has to offer nothing more than a simplistic software solution for helping you create and store quick desktop notes, and is suitable especially for less experienced users.
