• Printed Pages or On-Screen: You can choose to do the indexing from printed pages or directly on-screen.


• Bookmarks Are Optional: You can create embedded tags with or without Microsoft Word bookmarks. Most publishers prefer no bookmarks when importing files into layout programs.


• Automated Coding of Ranges: Instead of using bookmarks, you can mark ranges with codes set by the publisher or indexer. DEXembed makes this process automatic and quick!


• Removal of Old Index Tags: If you need to clean up your document, DEXembed lets you strip out all old index tags in one go—perfect for final edits!
