Dinosaur Chess is a colorful and educational Mac OS X game designed to help young kids learn how to play chess with dinosaurs. The game is set in a prehistoric world, during the dinosaur era, and allows children to raise a small dino by acquiring more and more chess skills.

In essence, Dinosaur Chess aims to introduce kids to the world of chess through funny encounters with hand-drawn dinosaurs. It includes 11 interactive lessons, 20 different puzzles and mini-games, as well as options to play simplified and full chess.

The background story is fit for the curious minds of preschoolers. They start out as a novice hatchling that will progressively grow into a big dinosaur whose goal is to defeat the giant T-Rex. In your journey, you will visit different environments, such as lush forests and exotic jungles.

Dinosaur Chess explains the role of each piece on a standard chess board step-by-step. Moreover, the moves in each lesson ca be replayed and additional information can be accessed by clicking the question mark sign.

From the main menu of the game, you can access the lessons, view your progress, access the mini-games and a funny section called “dino fight!”. Kids have plenty of activities that will keep their minds busy and entertained.
