DMCA's Sky is a fun take on vintage themed games and seems to be inspired by more recently released adventure games. You play the role of Spaceman Finn and you are looking for Princess Mango, yet instead of “finishing” levels, you jump between worlds by using your rocket.
Within the DMCA's Sky first panel you are presented with all the basic controls: the arrow keys to move the character around, the Z key to make it jump, and the X key to activate the rocket.
As you enter the world, you need to move around to collect coins, jump to squish moombas, and get other perks, such as additional lives. Since the world gets round and round, at some point you will have nothing more to collect and decide to travel to another world.
To do that you must activate the rocket ship and go into space: you can use the arrow keys to change the ship’s direction, and press the jump button to give it speed. Note that you have to press the button longer to move faster.
Each new DMCA's Sky world has its own name, color theme, and soundtrack music. The game keeps track of how many moombas you have squished, the number of worlds you have visited, the amount of coins you have collected, and how many lives you have left.
As soon as you run out of lives, your statistics start all over again: you cannot save your progress, and each time you relaunch the game you are greeted by a new world.
Note that DMCA's Sky also sports a map of the worlds near you that you should use while navigating your ship: each world has a different color so that you can differentiate between them.
To sum up, DMCA's Sky brings to the table a classic gameplay and a vintage themed design. However, the game takes a new approach to the levels system, creates a virtually infinite Universe, and brings a rocket ship into the equation.
