DotNetLibs ZIP Library for .NET

Modern applications frequently need to manage archives or compress files, and it is not always cost-effective for developers to implement these features from scratch, which is why they often resort to ready-to-use libraries.

DotNetLibs ZIP Library for .NET is one such component, designed to facilitate the creation of programs that can extract and generate ZIP and GZIP archives. It consists entirely of managed code and can be used with .NET, Mono, .NET CF, Xamarin iOS, Android, UWP and Windows Phones.

The .NET APIs available in this product are part of the DotNetLibs collection of libraries. While they can all be purchased together, it is also possible to license each component separately.

DotNetLibs ZIP Library for .NET supports a number of encryption methods, such as ZIP 2.0, AES 128, AES 192 and AES 256, and it enables you to protect existing files without unarchiving them.

Even very large archives – over 4GB in size – are supported, and the library allows users to add, extract, delete, move or rename files within a ZIP archive. Multiple compression levels are available, and the library also supports self-extracting archives.

The package available for download includes the .NET APIs required for archive management, as well as sample applications and deployment instructions.
