Hack and slash games became quite popular after the appearance of Diablo, one of the best games of 1997. Since them, a lot of games appeared in this genre, with each one trying to bring multiple innovations and original ideas.

A lot has changed since the early days of hack and slash, but the main focus remains the same: you have to kill all enemies that get in your way, solve quests and clear all dungeons/levels. Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is a game that, among these, also brings the online multiplayer component, allowing you to kill monsters with your friends, in its 4-player coop mode.

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance brings online leaderboards and a vivid quest spans over 30 different levels, spanning through dungeons, forests and villages. Some of the areas are randomly generated, in order to encourage replayability.

Upon starting the game you will be able to select your class, add attributes, customize the appearance of your character and equip your hero with the best weapons and armor you can find.

The interface is a little complex, since it tries to give you access to quests, journal, character sheet, maps and other information. In the upper left you can see information about your character, which includes health, mana and level. Under your character you can see information regarding the stats of your party members.

The game's graphics are very good, taking into consideration that we speak about a 621 MB game. The soundtrack is also suitable for the game's dark theme.

Finally, I think that Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is a good game for RPG fans on the lookout for a great pastime. It may even be compared to Diablo III, although it lacks the polish and complexity of the latter title, but more thank makes up for it when you look at its price.
