DXF Analyzer is a simple Windows app that helps you check out file details for AutoCAD drawings in the DXF format. It has a user-friendly graphical interface that makes loading DXF files and looking at their info super easy.
Installing the tool is a breeze! There are no tricky steps during setup, so you can get right to it. The interface is pretty straightforward. You’ll see a clean window split into multiple sections where you can analyze file stats, blocks, line types, text styles, dimension styles, views, UCSs, and entities. The stats pane gives you a quick summary of what’s going on in the other tabs.
On the left side of the main window, you can add as many DXF files as you want. This way, it's super easy to pick any file quickly without having to dig through your hard drive each time.
When it comes to layers, you'll be able to check out details like name, color, line type, status (on or off), freezing and locked status, plus how many entities are in each layer. For blocks, it shows both the name and count of each one too!
One thing to note is that this software doesn’t let you preview AutoCAD drawings directly. So if that’s something you're looking for, you'll need another tool for that feature. However, it's handy that you can export all DXF-related info into a plain text document (.txt) for later review.
No surprises here—the app had minimal impact on our computer's performance during testing. It stayed stable while we checked it out on Windows 10. While it might not have tons of fancy options or settings to tweak, DXF Analyzer offers an easy way for anyone wanting statistics about AutoCAD drawings with the DXF file type.
