DynaMAC

DynaMAC is a lightweight tool that allows you to perform a rather hard task, modifying the media access control address or MAC for a selected network adapter.

The MAC address is generally embedded into the hardware of the component at hand in its read-only memory or firmware. A network interface controller or NIC creates a bridge between your computer and the Internet and grants you access to it.

DynaMAC can prove very helpful in a large number of situations where changing the MAC address is a must. For example, if your current network card malfunctions beyond repair and the authentication for your Internet connection is linked to its address, you need to change it for the new one. The same logic applies to cases when you need to connect to a network that grants access to specific MAC addresses.

DynaMAC displays a comprehensive interface which makes it easy to use by anyone regardless of their computer skills. When you run the application, it displays a simple window from which you can select the adapter you want to change the MAC for and type in the new one. It’s basically a three step process.

If at any time you wish to change the physical address of the network card back to its initial values, DynaMAC offers you a reset button. In case you need to write the original MAC address down, the application displays it in the main window.
