Getting Started with Enfomi

Before jumping in, remember that you need to have Java installed on your PC to use this app. This is especially important for decrypting the standalone archives, which come in .jar format. The best part? You don’t have to deal with any tricky installation! Just download it and run the file right away. Unlike most software installers, Enfomi doesn’t mess with your system registry, so when you're done using it, there are no leftovers hanging around.

User-Friendly Interface

The main window of Enfomi is pretty straightforward. It’s split into two tabs: one for encryption and decryption and another for customizing options. You can easily add multiple files or folders to encrypt at once. You just specify where you want to save the encrypted file, give it a name, and enter a passphrase that you'll need later for decryption. Options Galore!

In the options panel, you can choose whether Enfomi creates a self-decrypting archive or just an encrypted file. Both types will be saved as .jar files. You also get to pick from different security algorithms from a drop-down menu—though their descriptions could be clearer.
