Face Wizard

Face Wizard is a Windows application designed to help users personalize the bootup logo by replacing it with a picture from the developer's website or any custom file from a local, removable or network location.

Unlike other similar tools dedicated to customizing the system startup screen, this program is made to access the internal BIOS and make changes there. It also has features for aiding users in updating BIOS via Windows.

The interface of Face Wizard is a bit unusual, abandoning the classical rectangular shape and going for a modern look instead. The main window actually looks like it's a chip, part of the computer unit.

Options are laid out for selecting the new picture from the developer's site or other sources. An automatic mode is listed too. Changes are applied with the click of a button, and it's necessary to reboot the computer to notice modifications.

An option for restoring settings to default isn't available, which means that users who change their mind have to access Face Wizard again to put back the old picture.

Because it's an old software product, users are likely to experience compatibility issues with newer Windows models. It's ideal for older operating system versions.
