Afterwards, the application encrypts the file, the process is reversed when users want to decrypt - a very simple process. The process is very streamlined and user friendly, clearly intended to be accessible to those unfamiliar with how encryption works. The downside of this simplicity is a lack of settings, the application has made encrypting so quick that the level of encryption cannot be adjusted or changed in any way. If files are encrypted in bulk, they are all given the same encryption, which, if it fails, it fails for all of them. The bulk encryptor sacrifices security for ease-of-use, unfortunately.

The application does not explain much and the same is true for the method number, users might ask if larger numbers are more effective. Can users still decrypt a file if they forget which method they used? The application offers no way to remember which method number users selected for past encryption and this might cause users to hesitate. Given how complicated encryption can be, the application is severely lacking in documentation both offline and online.

Fast File Encryptor does offer a good range of features though, the ability to encrypt an entire folder worth of files at once is a very efficient and useful tool. The File Shredder is another useful tool, not all users might be aware of how to properly delete sensitive information from their system. The Folder Drive module has a great deal of potential and more experienced users can manage their files more securely. The application is not overly expensive, so users who want to access its full range of features can do so and will not be over paying.

The Fast File Encryptor offers a good range of features and is well designed, but it lacks a few necessities. Users risk being locked out of their own files due to misuse of the application and the addition of tooltips or a more robust help documentation would solve that. It is still a worth while encryptor, but not for users who are inexperienced with how they work.
