Flash Desktop is a desktop enhancement utility built specifically for helping you create wallpapers or screensavers from Flash files.

It sports a clean and intuitive interface that allows users to add SWF files to the list with the use of the built-in browse function.

Flash Desktop gives you the possibility to pick a background color or upload an image file, provided that the file format is GIF, JPG, PNG or BMP. You can move the Flash items by manually specifying the coordinates, or pick a position from a preset list.

What’s more, you may embed text messages and move them to the top or bottom part of the working environment. The text can be customized in terms of font style, size and number.

The generated projects can be set as wallpaper or screensavers, and you are allowed to create installer versions as well. In order to design installer wallpapers and screensavers from Flash files, you need to specify the name, pick a default saving directory, and add details about copyright information.

During our testing we have noticed that the program builds an EXE file very quickly and without errors. It doesn’t hamper system performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.

All things considered, Flash Desktop gives you a hand whenever you need to create EXE wallpapers from Flash files quickly and with minimum effort. It offers good image quality, but it cannot be considered the most powerful tool from its category, as it lacks advanced features for helping you configure the video settings and activate the loop mode, just to name a few suggestions.
