What is FlexTerm?

FlexTerm

FlexTerm is a cool tool that helps you access important host data safely and reliably. It connects to the IBM Z mainframe using terminal emulation (TN3270E). This means you can easily work with host applications without any hassle!

Secure Connections for Business

Written in C# and built for .NET, FlexTerm uses the latest TLS/SSH protocols to keep your connection secure. It's perfect for businesses because it meets all the security requirements and compliance policies they need.

Multiple Sessions Made Easy

One of the best things about FlexTerm is that it supports multiple sessions! You can see all your sessions as tabs, which you can easily drag and drop around. This way, you can connect to several host systems from just one workspace—super convenient!

Smooth File Transfers

The file transfer between your local PC and the host system is backed up by secure FTP (File Transfer Protocol) along with IBM's IND$FILE transfer utility. So, no worries about losing important files!

User-Friendly Interface

The interface has a handy feature called the 'Quick Access Toolbar.' Think of it like a bookmark bar that lets you pin all your activity tabs at the top of the window. This makes everything easy to find and boosts your workflow.

Ribbon Bar for Quick Access

The ribbon bar works similarly by giving you quick access to main functions and tabs. If you want more space, you can hide or show this bar anytime using an arrow near the help button.

Easy Connection Settings Modification

If you need to change any connection settings, just disconnect your current session. Then select 'Setup' to tweak whatever fields you need. It’s simple and straightforward!
