If you work on your computer on a regular basis, chances are you open more or less the same folders over and over again. FolderBookmarks can help you speed up this process, by placing the locations you access most frequently in your right-click menu.
Just like its name implies, this application can help you add the folders you work with most frequently in a list that can later be found in the context menu.
Basically, you can navigate to whatever folder you need, then simply find some empty space and click your right mouse button. A dedicated line called FolderBookmarks should be visible, along with the option to add the current location to the list, then you are done.
An additional step is required if you are using Windows 11, as you need to first select the 'Show more options' feature to gain access to the actual app.
On the downside, this function is integrated in Windows, to some extent. After all, you can configure the list of Quick Access folders to include the directories you work with most often, so you can launch them with a single mouse button. However, this means you need to open File Explorer first, whereas FolderBookmarks can be used by right-clicking free area, regarding of the software you are currently using.
Also, removing an entry from the list of bookmarks is not very intuitive. More specifically, you need to browse the FAQ to learn that pressing Shift while selecting a bookmark offers you the possibility to delete it.
FolderBookmarks is a nifty little app that can save you a lot of time when it comes to opening the same folders many times during the day. There is still room for improvement though, especially when it comes to removing an existing bookmark.
