Contact managers - very useful software that come in all forms and sizes and for almost all platforms and needs, they're the apps we usually turn to in order to ensure that organizing our contacts list doesn't get out of hand.

However, modern contact managers are no longer just the plain virtual "contact agendas," and also boast task management and other business and email-related capabilities, one of which goes by the name of Folk.

The easiest way to regard this next-gen app is to think of it as a comprehensive contact manager with a few, soon-to-come collaboration superpowers.

You're provided with a functional and visually-pleasing environment for centralizing and thoroughly-organizing your contacts network. You can import contacts with ease (from your Google or Office 365 accounts), remove duplicates, enrich them with missing details, add notes and attachments, as well as use tags to organize them accordingly.

You are able to create campaigns to move contacts along a specific list of steps, quite useful for recruiting or sales-related actions, all of which are sharable with your team members.

Other nifty touches include the possibility to set reminders, a useful search feature (coming soon), useful buttons that allow you to copy content from the app to the clipboard, and the possibility to export the campaign data to CSV format.

If up until now everything sounds good, then things are bound to get even better since various improvements are expected in the following period. Features like shared notes, in-app team conversation and coordination options, as well as mobile apps,  are sure to make to turn this very good app into a must-have.

Taking everything into account, Folk is a very interesting take on what a modern contacts manager should be all about.
