The FTI Icon Editor is based on SGI's IconSmith, an interactive editor for artwork created from two-dimensional polygons. On SGI's IRIX platform, FTI-type artwork is used for icons on the graphical desktop.
FTI Editor features many of the tools found in the original IconSmith, while also implementing some new ones.
Thanks to the fact that FTI Editor is completely written in the Java programming language you should be able to run it on a variety of systems.
