Working with data off the Internet can be a challenging endeavor, especially when searches are involved, and when wanting to isolate or extract certain information when using search engines. Things can be even more complex when geo-location aspects are involved. G-Map Data Scraper is here to address such requirements.

It was designed as a tool that users can rely on when wanting to scrape the Internet for contact information for various searches, which pertain to address, telephone number, geolocation, and more.

I wasn’t expecting such a crude design when I first installed the app, but it is what it is, and despite its very old-school looks and features kept at a minimum, it still manages to function properly, however, in not such an obvious way.

It will require you to have an active installation of Google Chrome, and running searches isn’t as straightforward as it seems. G-Map Data Scraper will open the browser and the corresponding results for the selected search terms, but will not offer detailed saving options when it comes to the search engine results.

The app will automatically save only the first page among the search engine results, offering more pages in the registered version. These results are saved in Excel-compatible format, which makes working with the app in subsequent tasks easier.

Nevertheless, options for adding filters or running more intricate search term constructs are missing, and this could upset more demanding users.

With its simple design, G-Map Data Scraper offers average performance when it comes to data scraping, and despite saving the results for you to Excel-compatible formats automatically, it might lack more advanced functionality regarding the actual search process.
