GeekTools Whois (GTWhois) is a handy GUI whois client that hangs out in your Systray. It makes finding the right servers for different country domains super easy. No more hassle!

What Can GTWhois Do?

With GTWhois, you can also check out the ARIN, APNIC, RIPE, and LACNIC registries for IP netblock allocations. Just type an IP address into the query box, and boom! The program will show you which organization it belongs to and how big the netblock is.

A Central Hub for Useful Tools

GeekTools serves as a centralized spot for cool tools. You can use all of them with any browser, even LYNX! They work smoothly with minimal color (only 16) and low resolution (640 x 480). Plus, there are no cookies or Java required for internal use.

What's New in This Release?

• Double-clicking the tray icon now brings up the query window and makes it pop to the front if it's hidden.


• The Preferences form has a new option: you can close the application if you hit the close window “X” on the query form.


• Support has been added for whois.registro.br thanks to LACNIC.


• If you search for domains in a TLD without a valid whois server, you'll get a clearer message instead of just being told that the TLD isn’t valid.


• A few minor cosmetic fixes and updates to whois server names have also been made.
