Girl's Address Book

Before the nowadays technology even existed, people used to keep track of personal and work-related records by using the physical address book, which was quite large and released every year. Searching for someone was time-consuming and nerve-racking as it had hundreds of pages. Today, we opt for more complex or basic programs that have similar purposes but are much easier to use and have a storing capacity much higher than the normal book.

Girl's Address Book is a user-friendly and accessible utility that provides a simple method to add and organize your contacts while offering a basic layout with all options in plain sight. There is no setup involved, as the app comes packed with all the essential core files into a small archive and which can be dropped to external drives and directly run from any computer.

The interface is intuitive and clean consisting of a single window with the contact's fields on the left side and additional buttons on the right. When launching the utility you are asked for an username and password, which can be found in the TXT file included into the archive. Another downside is the irritating background, which, unfortunately, you can't change to a more pale color.

The process is simple, just fill in the required information, such as full name, nickname, email, address, postcode and phone number. You can quickly browse through your contacts using the navigational arrows. Plus, the login credentials may be changed to custom ones.

It would've been a nice addition, if there were options to change the look of the app, had more fields dedicated to co-workers and customers, profile images and a small editor to write optional comments. There is also no choice to export the database to various file formats for further edit.

Taking everything into account, Girl's Address Book is an average and outdated tool created only for those who wish a small yet practical utility to record personal contacts. Since it's portable, it doesn't generate new entries in the registry nor leaves traces behind its removal.
