Google Panels is a cool tool that gives you one-click access to all of Google's services. Imagine loading your Gmail or checking files on Google Drive with just a mouse click! This makes it super easy to launch Google’s online services without even needing to open a web browser.
Once you install Google Panels on your computer, it quietly sits in your system tray. From there, you can easily set it up and view the panels with a simple right or left-click. It’s really user-friendly!
You can quickly open Google Keep to jot down notes, check Gmail for messages, and even manage your calendar for important events. Plus, if you need to use Google Translate or access your Drive account, it’s all right at your fingertips!
When you open any of the panels, a new window pops up where you can use the service just like in a browser. The only difference? There’s no address bar, so you're focused on what you're doing.
If you want to close a panel, just click the 'X' button in the top right corner. But don’t worry—it doesn’t actually shut down the panel! You’ll see which ones are active because they light up green in the main menu. Closed ones will be gray. By default, these won’t show up in your taskbar unless you want them to.
Now, tweaking some settings might take a little effort since you'll need to edit a JSON file. But don't let that scare you! It has proxy support and lets you turn off any panels you don’t need. You can also change how big the panel window is and where it shows up on your screen.
Google Panels makes accessing Gmail and other Google services way easier! Instead of typing URLs into your browser's address bar every time, just click an icon in the system tray. You can check emails, translate texts, review appointments, take quick notes, chat with friends, and even upload files safely into the cloud.
