Hard drives are getting larger and larger. That is because users need to store more and larger files. However, even the largest hard drives can run out of space. Having a graphical representation of your directory structure can come in handy when cleaning up or reorganizing your files and folders.
The application recursively scans through the folders on your drive, collecting information about the amount of space occupied by the files within. Users can specify how many layers of folders deep the application should go when performing this scan, and when creating the actual graphical representation mentioned before, what should be the minimum size of folders represented. These settings ensure that scans do not take an impractical amount of time to complete and that the resulting graphs are not unreadable on account of a clutter of insignificant items.
Graphs can also be rotated and flipped horizontally or vertically at will. The size of a folder's icon is proportional to the amount of space files within occupy. To put it simply, the bigger a folder is on disk, the bigger its icon will be in the graph. A right-click menu enables users to manually scan folders present in the graph in order to add their subfolders to the hierarchy or to delete them from the disk.
This is an easy-to-use application that can help you gain a better understanding of the structure of the folders on your disk. This can come in handy when reorganizing or cleaning out old files.
