Heap Viewer is a super handy and easy-to-use tool for anyone who wants to create and play around with different kinds of heaps like Binary Heaps, Binomial Queues, Randomized Heaps, and Skew Heaps. Getting started is simple! Just pick one option from the drop-down menu and hit the Start button. This will open up a new window where you can create your tree.
To make or change a heap, just type any whole number into the text box in the upper left corner. When you're ready to add that number as a priority, click on the Put button. If you want to take away the highest priority from your heap, just press the RemoveMax button!
The Back and Forward buttons are great for moving through the steps of how you've built your heap. Want to see an exact copy of your work? Just click on the Clone button! This opens a new window with an identical version of your tree along with its history. You can then change this tree without messing with your original one.
