If you're using Google Finance as your source, you'll get end-of-day data limited to January 1st, 2000. Meanwhile, if MSN Finance is your choice for end-of-day data, it'll only go back five years from today.

If the range you've set in the app exceeds what’s available from your chosen data server, Historical Quotes Downloader automatically adjusts the range to fit what's possible. No hassle!

Downloading Intraday Data

You can also download intraday data from Google Finance or Yahoo! Finance. Just make sure you check the "Intraday" mode in the "Download Settings" tab before starting your download.
