iCloud is all about making it easy to manage your files and apps. Setting it up is a breeze because there aren’t too many settings to worry about. Once you finish installing it, you just need to restart your computer. Oh, and don't forget, you'll need an Apple ID to get into the iCloud configuration panel.
The interface looks like a regular window but is super organized. It lets you sync your emails, contacts, calendars, and tasks from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Microsoft Outlook. So if you're using Outlook a lot for work or school, this makes things simpler!
You can even sync bookmarks with Internet Explorer. Plus, if you want to download new photos from iCloud or upload pictures from your computer to the photo stream, that's all possible! Sharing photo streams is a fun feature too; you can create your own or subscribe to others' streams.
The app shows how much storage you have left on iCloud and lets you manage things like backups and email. You can also change details about your Apple ID account here. If you're okay with sharing some info, there's an option to send anonymous diagnostics back to Apple.
You’ll see the iCloud status right in the notification area of your computer which makes it convenient! While we didn’t find any major issues during our testing—like crashing or annoying error messages—the app’s speed isn’t exactly lightning fast.
We did think there could be more features for managing iCloud settings. But overall, iCloud provides a straightforward way to tweak basic settings without too much hassle.
