Easy Icon Changing Process

When you open Ico2Folder, you'll see a built-in folder tree that helps you explore disk directories. Simply click on the folder whose icon you want to change, hit “Icon,” and use the popup browser to find an ICO file. Once you've picked one, just click “Apply” to save those changes!

Customize More Than Just Folders

You can also change icons for local partitions and some desktop utilities like My Network, Recycle Bin (you can even have separate icons for when it's empty or full), My Documents, and My Computer! Plus, if you're not fond of the Recycle Bin label, feel free to tweak that too.

Compatibility Issues

Now, here’s where things get tricky. We tried using Ico2Folder on Windows 10 and ran into some issues when changing folder icons—we kept getting an error saying it couldn’t modify them without any clear reason why.

A Little Outdated?

This might be because Ico2Folder hasn’t been updated in quite some time and could have compatibility problems with newer Windows versions. On top of that, there’s no mention of supported icon sizes from the developer, so we tried different combinations but came up short.
