InstaTime

Instagram is a social network based on mobile photo-sharing and it surely does not require any kind of presentation.

As we are sure most of you already know, you can access your Instagram account from any computer using any web browser, the only limitation being that you cannot upload photos, a feature reserved exclusively for mobile devices.

InstaTime is a simplistic piece of software that aims to provide you with a clutter-free environment for accessing your Instagram account directly from your desktop.

Evidently, in order to take advantage of what InstaTime has to offer, you need a valid Instagram account and an Internet connection. Once logged in, the app displays Instagram's same web-based interface.

That said, you can browse your Instagram feed, like and share posts, leave comments, as well as access and customize your account settings, just like you would from your mobile phone.

You should also know that the application alerts you whenever new content is available in your Instagram feed with the help of pop-up notifications straight from your computer's system tray. Also very useful is the fact that once installed, InstaTime automatically launches on Windows startup.

While this might come in handy for most users, some may prefer to turn this feature on or off. Because InstaTime does not offer this option within its interface, you are required to work with the Task Manager and manually enable or disable InstaTime within the Startup section.

Unfortunately, there is one thing that needs to be mentioned. If you are to edit your profile using InstaTime, you can observe that the app does not fully display the top part of Instagram's web interface.

By now, it should be quite clear that InstaTime does not aim to overwhelm you with features (mostly because Instagram's base platform is fairly limited in this respect to begin with). Instead, it offers a clean and distraction-free environment for viewing your feed, without the need of a typical web browser.

Besides its appealing minimalist look, the app also comes with a smart tray notification system and the ability to automatically launch at system startup, features which, even on their own, already make InstaTime a better solution for viewing your Instagram feed when compared to Instagram's official web app.
