Internet Gateway is a handy little tool that helps you share your Internet connection across multiple computers on the same network. It uses TCP and UDP dynamic NAT to redirect your connection smoothly.
This software is lightweight, meaning it won’t take up much space on your hard drive or use up a lot of system resources. Installing it takes just a couple of seconds, and you can start using it right away.
When you launch Internet Gateway, you'll see a simple main window. Here, you can check out existing connection names along with their MAC addresses and NAT status. It’s straightforward!
Now, this tool isn’t exactly for everyone. You’ll need some basic knowledge about how networks work to get started. First, pick the connection you want to share. A quick double-click brings up the properties window where you can see the internal name and IP address.
In that properties window, set the connection’s NAT status to ‘Provider’. After that, identify your home network interface and mark it as a client from the main window.
You might think clicking the NAT button is all there is to it, but there's one more step: configuring each client on your network with static IP addresses manually. This is really the only downside to using Internet Gateway—but hey, once it's done, everyone gets their own Internet connection without hassle!
Overall, while Internet Gateway might not look super appealing to newbies, it’s a no-nonsense tool that makes sharing your Internet connection across multiple computers easy!
