What is IP Detector?

IP Detector

IP Detector is a lightweight Windows app that helps you see your current IP address and network status. It’s super handy because it even has a logging tool to track any changes that might happen. So, if your Internet Service Provider (ISP) changes your IP every time you connect, this tool has got your back!

Easy to Use for Everyone

You’ll find that IP Detector is really simple to use. The main window has three tabs, showing you the current IP and whether you're connected to the internet or not. This way, you can quickly check if everything's working as it should!

Check Your Logs

If you want more details, just click on the “Log” tab! It shows you all the assigned IPs at different times. Plus, there are easy search features for looking up past activity. For example, you can find out what IP your computer was using last week! Just remember, IP Detector needs to be running all the time to keep track of those changes.

Settings Made Simple

The app doesn’t have a ton of settings to mess with, but one important thing is to make sure it starts up with Windows. That way, it logs your IP right when you connect online.

No Need for a Manual

The help section isn’t very helpful since it only offers a few lines of info about how the program works. But honestly, most users won’t need a manual because the app is pretty straightforward!

A Handy Tool Despite Its Flaws

Even though IP Detector could use some improvements here and there, it's still useful for many people out there. The best part? It’s light on system resources and works well with any version of Windows.
