You start by entering either the full URL of the video to download or a keyword to initiate a new search in a separate tab via the chosen search engine. When available media is detected by Itdown Video Downloader, a small popup window is shown, allowing you to start recording the playing content at normal or fastened speed.

This small window allows you to stop the recording at any time, while displaying the size of the cached media in real time for you to monitor constantly.  You can monitor the recording process in the designated tab of Itdown Video Downloader. When the recording stops, the video is saved, and the task is moved to the “Completed” tab.

Since it records playing content, Itdown Video Downloader is surely compatible with any video streaming site out there, helping you save a video with no quality loss and even record live stream sessions. However, you must keep the video playing to be able to save the recording, which might be a bit inconvenient.
