Jiveshwar's Wi-Fi Hotspot Maker is an easy-to-use application that can create a Wi-Fi hotspot using a wireless device, enabling you to share your Internet connection with other computers, tablets, smart phones and so on.

Such a software is recommended for cafes, hotels, conference rooms, homes and virtually any place where a shared connection is required.

Jiveshwar's Wi-Fi Hotspot Maker has the advantage of being easy to operate, thus being fit for a wide array of audiences, from beginners to more advanced users.

The application’s design is extremely simple, hosting a couple of fields that serve to control the hotspot, such as start, stop and restart. Of course, prior to initiating the hotspot, configuring the settings of the network is required.

This is also easy to achieve, since all you need to do is enter the hotspot’s name and access password and optionally to set the application to minimize when clicking the Close button. There’s also an option that says ‘Start / Stop Hotspot w.r.t. Software’, but we’re not sure what it means or what it does.

That about sums up the usage of Jiveshwar's Wi-Fi Hotspot Maker. While we appreciate its simplicity because it reflects in ease of use, there is such a thing as too simple. It could have had a richer feature set – something we would have appreciated is the ability to list all the connected clients, as well as to set a few restrictions for the hotspot.

Unfortunately, Jiveshwar's Wi-Fi Hotspot Maker needs more than a simple interface and a few buttons in order to become competition for other similar software. The level it’s now at is just insufficient.
