Barkley's Name Origins

Now, you might think Barkley was named after Charles Barkley, the famous basketball player, right? Well, surprise! I'm not even a basketball fan. Barkley actually got his name from Barkley Sound on Vancouver Island's rugged coast. Funny enough, that sound was named after Captain Charles William Barkley, who was the master of a British trading ship called Imperial Eagle.
