The advent of reverting software back to code – decompiling, has brought with it a multitude of advantages, which stemmed from the opposition to compilators, and one of its first uses had applicability in migrating software from one platform to another. Still widely used, decompilers are not only relied upon for the actual code conversion but also for code repair. Performing such tasks and much more, in a very fast manner, JustDecompile, as its name suggests, will provide you with an open-source decompilation engine and a multitude of scalable features.

The application comes equipped with support for a wide range of frameworks, which will provide users with a great deal of versatility. One will be able to tackle projects that originate from .NET 2.0 all the way up to 4.7.1.

Frameworks and protocols such as WinRT, Metadata, C#5, APPX, and WinMD are also supported, and the included API is fully extensible, which yet again increases users’ flexibility.

In addition to supporting so many protocols, the decompiler also comes with a highly functional feature set, which addresses a wide range of potential tasks. For instance, we were pleased to see that you will be able to work with Visual Studio projects, and have both the JustCode and the JustTrace engines integrated.

Visualizing the decompiled data is performed in tabs, and support for the Visual Studio extension is also provided. Last but not least, if you require, you will be able to extract resources from the corresponding assemblies.
