Jyotish Tools is a cool and lightweight software app made just for you if you're into Indian astrology! It helps you dive into Vedic horoscope analyses and is like the pro version of Jyotish Junior.
This program comes with an integrated atlas and supports ACS Atlas version 2. You can use it to apply the Systems Approach rules, check how transits affect your natal planets, and get insights on planetary periods through coded displays.
You’ll love its portability! Just pop it on a USB flash drive, and you’re good to go. Running it is as simple as opening the executable file.
The interface is well-structured but keep in mind that having some background knowledge in Indian astrology will help you understand the tool better. If you're curious about what it can do, there’s a handy help manual available!
The main window gives you a detailed look at charts (like Natal or Rashi charts), showing planetary positions, current transits, and how fast those transit planets are moving. You can also check out contemporary dashas by setting dasha levels and choosing Bhukti sequences, along with twenty divisional charts!
You can pick from various chart styles—like northern, southern, eastern, or western (circular)—and even color charts! This way, you can analyze them using Prof. V.K. Choudhry’s ‘Systems Approach’. Plus, you can set aspects between planets too.
With Jyotish Tools, analyzing planetary strengths is easy using the Systems Approach. You can also enable Iyer analysis to view the natal chart in southern style or Shripati chart in northern style right within your natal chart.
You have a space for taking notes on your horoscope right in the lower left corner of the GUI! These notes save with your files and are easy to copy. Want to share? You can export charts as plain text, CSV, or QCK files! Printing information or emailing charts is also an option!
The app includes extra tools that let you check out 52 dates of planetary data by day, week, month, or year! Use the graphical ephemeris feature to find transit hits in a horoscope or figure out auspicious times for events with the Muhurta tool. You can even change the date and time displayed in your transit chart.
Jyotish Tools truly shines when it comes to functionality. It has everything you need to explore fascinating concepts in Indian astrology!
