Jyotish Tools is a handy software app made for anyone looking to dive into Indian astrology using Vedic horoscopes. Think of it as the pro version of Jyotish Junior. It’s lightweight, making it super easy to use.
This program comes loaded with an integrated atlas and supports ACS Atlas version 2. You can apply Systems Approach rules for your analysis, which helps you interpret how planetary transits affect natal planets and vice versa. Plus, there’s a cool coded display showing planetary periods!
You’ll love its portability! Just pop it onto a USB flash drive and run it straight from the executable file. No fuss!
The user interface (GUI) is well-structured, but you might want some background in Indian astrology to really get the most out of it. Don’t worry though; there’s a help manual that explains everything in detail if you want to dig deeper.
The main window gives you a wealth of info about charts, whether you're looking at Natal or Rashi charts. You’ll see planetary positions, current transits, and even their speeds! You can also view contemporary dashas, set dasha levels, and pick your Bhukti sequence.
Jyotish Tools lets you choose from different chart styles—like northern, southern, eastern, or western (circular)—and color charts. This makes analyzing them through Prof. V.K. Choudhry’s ‘Systems Approach’ super straightforward.
You can check planetary strengths using Systems Approach methods and enable Iyer analysis for viewing natal charts in both southern and northern styles right inside the main chart.
The app even allows you to jot down notes on the horoscope in the lower left corner of the GUI. Your notes save with your files or can be copied over easily. Want to share your findings? You can export charts into plain text, CSV, or QCK formats! There’s also printing options available so you can have physical copies.
You’ll find some other cool utilities like checking out 52 dates of planetary data by day, week, month, or year. The graphical ephemeris feature helps identify transit hits in a horoscope too! Plus, there’s a Muhurta tool that finds specific times when planetary positions are favorable for events.
Jyotish Tools doesn’t let you down with its functionality! It packs lots of useful tools that are perfect for exploring Indian astrology concepts further. Download now!
