LG SmartShare

LG SmartShare is a dedicated tool that provides you with a convenient way to transfer videos, music, applications and other files from your LG smart TV set to other devices via DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) technology. You should bear in mind that the TV set should be at least Netcast 4.0 in order to use the tool.

The program comes with a modern and user-friendly interface and includes three main sections, namely videos, pictures and music. Before you get started, you should check whether the devices are on the same network, either connected by cable or WiFi, as to ensure proper communication.

In case you do not view any content once you accessed it, then you should check the settings and make sure that the right folders are select in the My Shared Content tab. On a side note, the app adds standard directories from your computer – such as Videos, Pictures, Music, for instance – that are unlikely to include your libraries.

Functionality-wise, the program is as simple to use as it looks. Consequentially, transferring files can be done by simply clicking on them. You will be happy to learn that you can also preview the videos or play the tracks to make sure you are migrating the correct files.

It is worth mentioning that the application provides a simple method to select the devices that you prefer to share the content with. For enhanced convenience, the app displays the allowed devices in blue and the blocked ones in red. While you can add and remove individual devices, you can also opt for Block or Allow all if you want to include all devices in the same network.
