Lumia Browser

Lumia Browser is a multi-tabbed web browser that includes a few handy options when surfing the web. It's quite intuitive to work with, appealing to all types of users, even the ones with no prior experience.

The interface is familiar to the one of Google Chrome. Altering the default search engine can be done via the context menu.

When displaying page properties, Lumia Browser populates a list of all links and image links that exist within the current page. Double-clicking any of them brings it up in a new tab.

The program offers support for bookmarks (upper right part of the screen) and a bookmark manager, viewing page source details, full screen mode, printing the current page, and adjusting zoom.

As far as settings are concerned, you can edit the homepage and new tab page, set Lumia Browser to clear browsing data on exit (history, bookmarks, cache, cookies), view history, as well as create a URL block list.

The application uses moderate RAM and low CPU. Its webpage loading speed is good but not great. An error popped up when trying to view page source during our evaluation. Plus, clicking the "Save Page As" option did not trigger any action, while full screen mode did not work properly (only the title bar disappeared, but the taskbar was still visible).

Some key features that are common to most web browsers are missing in Lumia Browser. For example, it is not possible to open a link in a new tab, nor to copy a URL from the context menu.

Thus, working with multiple tabs is possible only when starting browsing sessions from scratch, or when viewing all URLs in the aforementioned list. In conclusion, Lumia Browser needs a lot of work to be considered a reliable web browser for day-to-day use.
