Lunascape

Lunascape is an Internet browser designed to change your perspective on browsing by using three different engines to render online content. It attempts to combine the advantages of the most popular Internet browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

The application features a tabbed interface that allows you to open multiple pages at the same time. You cannot search for an item directly from the address bar but you can easily perform searches from the toolbar selecting the search engine that you prefer. By default the search results page opens in a separate tab in order not to navigate away from the current webpage. Entering a URL in the address bar has the same effect.

You can select the rendering engine that will be used by your browser by default and change the preferences for each engine. The interface is highly customizable and allows you to edit the toolbar items in order to create the interface that you are familiar with.

Your bookmarks, history and feeds are displayed in a sidebar that enables you to access them very quickly. The sidebar content can also be customized by adding new items such as the tab tree view or the Internet Explorer favorites. If you do not want to import all the bookmarks from Internet Explorer but still want to access them, this is a good tool.

Lunascape also includes an extensive support for gestures and for mouse and keyboard combinations. This feature allows you to create gestures for the frequent actions that you perform in order to increase productivity. The result of the same action can be different while performed on a tab, a window or a hyperlink.

You can use the browser to read feeds and to periodically check for feed updates. The latest articles from your favorite feed are displayed on the tab bar in a small ticker. This feature allows you to view all the updates without opening a new tab and to open an article directly from the ticker.

One of the advantages of the triple rendering engine is the ability to install several add-ons that are compatible with those engines. However, it only supports the add-ons that are compatible with the engine version available.

The program comes with a privacy feature that allows you to clean the history items, the temporary files or the cookies every time you close the browser. You can select the items that you want to keep private in order to prevent other users from accessing your private information.
