In case you need to perform a bunch of tasks over and over again on your computer on a daily basis, then there is a good chance that you are looking for a way to automate this process. MagicMove is a tiny tool that helps you automate routine file management tasks, such as move or copy.

After a swift and straightforward installation, the app prompts you to select the destination folder where the files or directories you manage are going to be moved. While it does not have an interface per se, the utility can be accessed from the System Tray.

The idea behind the program is to take on repetitive and monotonous tasks, such as copying or moving files. Generally speaking, you are required to find the find the source and destination folders and click on each of them to copy and paste files from one place to the other. Thanks to the app, you can now just select the files and then transfer them with one click.

Since the application is as simple as it gets, it is rather natural that it does not come with an advanced Options window where you can customize its behavior further. In fact, from the Settings window, you can solely preview the default hotkeys for the operations. Moreover, you can change them, in case you are already using the hotkey for another app.

On the other hand, if you need to replace the destination folder, then you need to re-run the app via its executable file, which can be rather daunting if you do not keep icons on your desktop. It would have been nice and perhaps, more convenient, if you could manage this aspect from a GUI that also maintains a history of the directories that you previously accessed.

In the eventuality that you need to work with numerous files that you need to transfer from one folder to another after processing them, then MagicMove can spare you the trouble to search through the directories, as it can move files to their destination via a dedicated hotkey.
