The Xiaomi Gamepad is a cool controller, but it can run into some trouble with games that only play nice with XInput devices. If you’re not keen on switching to an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller, don't worry! There’s a handy solution: you can use a third-party app to mimic one of those controllers.
mi-360 is an awesome open-source tool that lets your Xiaomi Gamepad act like an Xbox 360 controller. This means you can use it in any game or app that supports Xbox controllers, plus it even has vibration features!
The setup process for mi-360 is super easy. You’ll need the ViGem drivers for it to work properly, but don’t sweat it—they install automatically while you’re setting everything up.
Once you launch mi-360, it minimizes down to your system tray and hides the Xiaomi Gamepad from view. Instead, you’ll just see the emulated Xbox 360 device. Since most modern games support XInput-compatible devices, you should be all set to play without any hiccups!
This nifty app runs quietly in the background and can be accessed easily from the system tray. You don’t need to fiddle with any settings; just right-click the tray icon when you want to close it.
If you're ready to take your gaming experience up a notch with your Xiaomi Gamepad, check out mi-360 here!
