Millie is a fun game that takes the formula employed by the classic Snake, adds more modern 3D graphics and a title character that has a lot more legs than a humble reptilian.

The gameplay is relatively simple and should be familiar to those who have played Snake before: you guide the character using the arrow keys through the complex maze, trying to eat as many items as possible, while avoiding your own tail. Of course, the millipede grows in length continuously, so this task becomes more and more difficult over time.

Unlike Snake, however, hitting a wall does not bring about the end of the game. Also, if you happen to make a mistake, you can use one of your power-ups to reverse time for a short period and rectify your error. As a result, Millie is more casual and does not become as stressful as the game it was inspired by.

The 2D environment and 3D models are not very complex, but suit the game’s style and do not take away from your experience. The sound effects are simple and few in number, while the background music is somewhat bland and repetitive.

You will have to eat as many items as you can in the shortest possible time. When you have completed a level, you are awarded extra points and rewards for collecting every item and finishing in a timely manner.

You can collect a number of different power-ups, each giving you certain bonuses. Some can be used to unlock levels, others help you out in sticky situations or even allow you to cut off some of your legs, as gruesome as that may sound.

Lots of levels are included, which should keep you entertained for a time. The gameplay can become repetitive after a while, but the diverse environments can help keep things interesting.

Millie is a fun game that can provide you with hours of enjoyment while you try to guide the hungry millipede through breakfast, lunch, dinner and beyond.
