MultiPing Grapher is a cool tool that builds on Perfping's features, letting you graph up to 10 different ICMP results at once. This software is super handy for checking if a site or IP address is up and running smoothly.
So, how does it work? Well, it’s pretty straightforward! You just start the program and use File | Open host file to load a text file with a list of up to 10 IP addresses. If you want, you can also kick off the program using a host list as a starting point. For example, you could type: Multiping.exe hosts.txt
.
If you're suspecting there are connection issues, MPG makes it easy to check multiple connections quickly with predefined host lists. By comparing the different results, you can figure out where to focus your troubleshooting efforts first.
You can also tweak the ping interval and ICMP payload (that's basically the size of the data part of the ICMP packet) according to what works best for you. Just use the trackbar or type in your desired values in the edit field.
The format for your host file should have ten lines of text. Each line will contain one host name, its description, and the expected response time (threshold), all separated by a ';'. So it's really organized!
